Name: Inoru Soharu
Age: 420
Type: Shinigami
Appearance: Inoru appears to be a 30 year old man with short black hair with green highlights. His eyes are a dull gray, and his height is 5' 7”. He wears his Zanpakuto on his back, but otherwise wears the normal Shinigami uniform. His muscles are massive, bulging and slightly scary.
Personality: Bored, arrogant, and battle-hungry. When he isn't fighting, he is usually simply smoking or waiting for battle.
Specialty: Zanjutsu and kenpo. He frowns upon the use of Kido, seeing it as “amatureish.”
Powers: While he never uses them, he has fair knowledge of all the basic Shinigami kido, and he has also mastered the flash step.
Weapons: His favored weapon is, of course, his Zanpakuto, “Chikaru no Joufu,” or “Might of the Warrior.” It is a massive two-handed sword (picture Cloud's Buster Sword), with a solid green blade and blue hilt. He never seals it. His bankai form, “Saikou Chikaru no Joufu,” or “Supreme Might of the Warrior,” appears to be the same weapon, except that the blade is now red. The weapon becomes twenty times heavier, and as such has that much momentum. The weapon is not meant to slice enemies, instead designed to crush them or fold them around the weapon, although it is razor-sharp. He has the strength the wield either form with one hand. The release phrase is “crumble before true might.”
Aside from his Zanpakuto, he also has two Cestus, or spiked gloves, for use with his kenpo (a Japanese martial art). They possess no special qualities aside from the ability to harm Hollows. He also occasionally dons spiked boots for kicking, although he doesn't use them as much.
Character History: Inoru was originally trained to be a member of Squad Zero, but was proven to be too unskilled, relying more on his massive strength than anything else, and so was instead assigned to Squad Seven. While he excelled, he held a grudge against Squad Zero, coming to a front with Inoru challenging the current captain of Squad Zero, Tenshi Zetsumei.
In an astounding battle, Inoru was horribly beaten. Tenshi admired his fighting spirit and resilience, however, and transferred him to Squad Zero. Inoru fought in Squad Zero from then on until Tenshi disappeared. He was demoralized by the loss of his Captain, and the only opponent who had ever been superior to him. After a century, he began to realize that Tenshi was too strong to have been defeated and that he must still be alive somewhere. He attempted to go search for him, but the Soul Society assigned him Captain of Squad Zero.
Using Squad Zero to assist his search, he began looking for Tenshi. After fifteen years, however, his misuse of the squad caused one of his men to lose his life. Realizing that Tenshi would not like him sacrificing lives just to find him, he resigned from being Captain of Squad Zero. He still searches for his Captain, but on his own. He mostly lingers around Soul Society, training new recruits. To this day, his only loss is still to Tenshi.
RP Sample: Inoru threw down his opponent. He sighed. Once again, he hadn't even had to draw his Zanpakuto. He looked around. He was bored. It had been a while since he had heard any leads, or anything from the Human World. Inoru knew that no news was bad news, but unless he had a reason, he wasn't going to leave Soul Society.
He sat back and took a puff from his cigarette. He cracked his neck, thinking of something to pass the time with. He saw a few Shinigami running by, but thought nothing of it. He started trying to blow smoke rings, failing every time. More runners. He ignored them as well. He continued with his smoke rings.
Inoru smiled as he successfully puffed out a smoke ring. It was utter beauty to him, until a passing Shinigami ran right through it. He growled and got up. Now he was curious. What was so important? He headed in the direction that the rest were going.
It wasn't long before he saw the source. It was that Arrancar, the “Sword Master,” Kiriyumi. Inoru spat onto the ground. It made him sick that such filth was permitted into Soul Society. What was more was that, even though he was reputed to be equal in power and skill to Tenshi, he refused to draw his blade. Not once had Inoru even seen the weapon. It made his blood boil, to think that such a weakling was carrying a custom-forged Zanpakuto.
Inoru listened to what the leaders were announcing, and his eyes bolted wide. Kiriyumi had spotted Tenshi! What's more is that he apparently fought him for a moment. Inoru smiled widely. He knew how to find his Captain. And he knew where, too. He immediately turned away from the crowd and sped off. His destination: Karakura Town.
(OOC: I should mention that I'm unaware if it is permitted to have multiple characters. I also plan to add a picture, but I don't have one right now, so that will have to wait.)
